Recipe for Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani:

  • Marinate the Chicken piece with salt, lime, ginger garlic paste, turmeric and chili powder
  • In a pot heat oil add the chicken and cook along with the Hyderabadi masala
  • Boil basmati rice with bay leaf, peppercorns, cloves and cinnamon till the rice is half cooked
  • Drain the water and set aside
  • Take a pot and grease it with ghee
  • Add some of the chicken gravy at the bottom and layer it with rice
  • Make two layers and cover the final layer with fried onions
  • Then cover the pot and and put it in the oven at 150°C for 1 hour
  • Serve hot
